Concrete is an amazingly versatile medium for creating artistic and practical surfaces and volumes that can be used for a wide range of applications. These applications might include art objects or landscape elements such as pathways, patios, tables, and benches. It can be used to create high quality home counter top surfaces, even dining room tables and coffee tables. The nature of concrete allows the craftsman or the customer to have complete control of the size and shape of an object therefore it can be custom fit for any location. Also a large number of bright integral and surface stain colors are available to match any scheme. Using acid stain elaborate designs, images, and even murals can be created.
Concrete easily blends well with designed or natural stone formations. Stone is hard earthen substance that forms rocks and boulders. The earth has been sculpting its stone for billions of years and today is creating new formations. Many thousands of varieties and combinations of stone are available to be blended with concrete's infinite potential. Crystals and minerals can be inlaid and inset. Metal lends itself to interesting combination with concrete and rock.
The options are limited only by the imagination of the craftsman.
The purpose of this site is to provide informational images of the possibilities and potential of concrete and natural stone , as well as to provide a gallery for me or anybody else to exhibit interesting concrete work, write howtos, or post questions in the forum.
